Chloe Abajian
Hello! My name is Chloe Abajian and I am a peer counselor here at RBV. Some of my interests include reading, drawing, and playing softball. My parents and friends are big influences in my life. I live life striving to be the best version of myself and I work hard to accomplish what I want to see in the world. I am a very empathetic and understanding person. I put myself in other people's shoes and I try to grasp all sides of the story. I listen without judgment, I try my hardest to be there for others as a support, and I truly want the best for everyone.
Lesley Arias
Hi my name is Lesley I am a senior (I know I don’t look like one) I’m probably one of the easiest peer counselors to find due to my white hair. I love to listen and help others. The peer leaders class has taught me how I can help you help yourself. So if you ever need to rant, want to talk, or need some help I'm always open to hear about anything and or everything. :) And if you're a bad bunny fan and love to dance, let me know because I'm definitely the best dancer out of all the peer leaders!
Grace Cadenas
Lealand Camacho
What's up guys, my name is Lealand and I'm a senior here at Rancho but I'm definitely the most laid back peer leader. I like to go to the beach, fish and I'm on the varsity baseball team for RBV. I've played baseball for 13 years so I'm really good at communicating and listening to others. I also really like cars and I for sure drive the best car out of all the peer leaders. I drive a 2020 Chevy Silverado and I'm always adding something to it. Let me know if you need anything. I'm always here to listen and talk.
Lilian Camacho
Hey hey hey! My name is Lilian Camacho, but most people call me Lil. I love teamwork and I am very observant. I have played soccer for 13 years and spent all 4 years on varsity here at RBV, so I understand how to care, encourage, and assist others. I am a huge goofball who laughs at any chance I get and my main goal at the end of every day is to smile. You can tell me anything and everything, and I will do my best to support you. I am super energetic and I walk through the day knowing I am giving at least 50% of what I can. I work at a sports bar so I love talking to people. When you need me to listen, that is exactly what I will do. You and I are in this together so let's do this.
Maylin Cruz
Heyyy girly pop! My role here at RBV is to help you help yourself. My goal is to put you on a positive path in which you will find your true self and inner peace at your own pace. I believe myself to be an empathetic and understanding person. I will try my best to advocate for you so that you could succeed in not only high school, but in the future. And I promise to not judge you because your secrets are safe with me bbg ;) Also, come see me if you’re an Abel stan <3
Alexis DeLaCruz
Looking through my fellow peer counseling team everyone began their bio’s with Hey or Hi, but i’m going to switch it up, so wassup. I’m Alexis and I am a senior. It's kind of weird to say it because these 4 years flew by so quickly and I reflect on my strengths that I entered high school with and what I am leaving highschool with. I am proud to say a big strength I have is being able to listen without interrupting, so if you ever want to vent to whether you just want to update me on how your weekend was I am here! I am a greys anatomy fan, if you watch it you should contact me so we can spill about our opinions on the show. If you are scared to ask for me, you can easily find me because I have a bright blue winnie the pooh backpack because duh it’s a senior thing to wear your last childhood backpack.
Eddie DeSoto
Kaylie Duffin
Hi I’m Kaylie, I've been at RBV since sophomore year and know that high school can be ruff. I spend most of my time by myself, with my dog or with my family. I’m kind of a loner, which is what I prefer most of the time. I have high expectations for myself especially when it comes to grades, even when I am exhausted. I’m understanding but will also push you when you need to be pushed. I know that life can be hard and I am always here to talk about any topic.
Sarah Fiebke
Heyy. My name is Sarah and I’m a senior peer counselor this year. I am a focused student and strive to do my best in most things. I enjoy anything artistic (fashion, drawing, ceramics, photography, etc.) and being active whether that's going to the gym or just taking myself to the beach. My biggest strengths are that I'm empathetic and logical. I’m excited to put myself out there and be able to help other students that have been struggling. I'm so happy I get the opportunity to make a true difference on campus. I’m not the loudest in the bunch, but I’m very trustworthy and will do my best to be a benefit in your life.
Elsa Garcia Nguyen
Hello I’m Elsa! I am a senior and peer counselor at RBV. I’m involved in several extra curricular activities such as track, cross country, working at the Vista Farmers’ market, and a full IB candidate. So I genuinely understand the struggle of time management and feeling burnt out. During my free time I love to paint, be in nature, and simply spend time making fun memories. I am more of an introverted person but I enjoy one on one conversations and I would say that my strengths are listening and empathizing. At the end of the day I wish to see you happy with your life and I will do my best to get you there!
Taylor Horst
Hi Y’all! My name is Taylor and I am a senior here at Rancho! And I am one of the many Peer Counselors this year! I play volleyball for the school and have played for about 4 years. I am a very outgoing person so if you happen to see me around campus, don’t hesitate to say Hi or wave, I always enjoy meeting new people. I am a very creative, trustworthy, and thoughtful person. I like to laugh and giggle, and will never be ashamed of embarrassing myself. People say I have a good vibe when it comes to talking to me, and I will be here for you when you need me.
Gracee Johnson
Jaena Johnson
Hey! I’m a senior and I'm one of the Peer Counselors here at RBV. I’m the captain of the Color Guard Team and the President of the Black Student Union. Outside of school, I like to go to the beach and go to Target. One of my strengths is that I’m a great listener. My friends tell me that I’m down to Earth and I’m open-minded when they tell me things. A goal of mine is to make others feel like they belong and help get on track. I love to see people succeed.
Emma Kraay
HI!! My name is Emma. I am one of your peer leaders at RBV. I am a senior, I’m in the yearbook. In my free time I work and I like to walk the beach. I love to help people and I’m a very good listener. You can talk to me about anything and your secrets are always safe with me. I'm definitely quiet but I can definitely help you out. You can talk to me about anything, I do not judge, I am definitely the last person to be judging.
Brandon Lara Sanchez
Ayo what’s goodie it your boy Brandon Lara coming at cha with another banger episode. I'm a senior here at Rancho Buena Vista. I like to box in my free time down at Oceanside for an hour or two. I'm also into cars and own a 2006 e90 BMW. I'm pretty laid back and have the best drip out of any Peer Counselor (they call me “Mr. Put It On”). I'm here whenever you need someone to talk to.
Bri Mendez
Heyy y’all my name is Brianna but you can call me Bri, Cause we are basically besties now. I’m a senior here at RBV. I am also one of the many amazing peer counselors at rancho. I am a varsity softball player and cheerleader here at Rancho, and outside of the ranch I do boxing as well as run my own cupcake business. I would like to say one of my strengths is my communication so If I ever see you alone somewhere I’m most likely going up to you and talking your ear off. My friends will tell you I’m a total weirdo but I'm a total lover so I tend to be really empathetic to all situations and put myself In your shoes. I live by the quote “Count your blessings not your troubles' ' because you can find good and anything so please never be afraid to come talk to me because I just know there's something good about y’all and I’m here to listen.
Kimberly Mendez Orellana
Hii People my name is Kimberly and my goal as a Peer Leader is to help you reach peace of mind in whatever area you may be struggling with. I am very stubborn so you can put your trust in me that I’ll work very hard with you to come to a solution. A couple things you might want to know about me is that I play Volleyball here at RBV, I love animals, reading, boba, and art. In the past I’ve struggled with my mental health and know how intimidating it might be to reach out for help, one thing I can promise you is I will always greet you with a smile and an open mind.
Jazmin Ramos
Hiiii everyone my name is Jazmin, I’m a senior AND peer counselor here at RBV. I am a very understanding, welcoming, and trustworthy person. Some things I like to do include spending money, drinking coffee, and changing my outfit 20 times in the morning. I believe I am a very open-minded person and I will listen to anything you have to say withoutttt judgment. I know how stressful life can be when you’re balancing your school life, your home life, and your personal life all while making room to take care of yourself. I will 100% be the person you can turn to when you’re struggling or just need to lift some weight off your shoulders. I’m always interested in meeting new people so I hope you can trust me to help you help yourself.
Morgan Robinson
Hi my name is Morgan, I’m a senior here at RBV. I’m in band and also a peer counselor here. I used to be a dancer while also being in the band, as well as working at a Korean BBQ restaurant, so I know how busy some schedules can be. I love listening to music, and I pride myself in being observant and compassionate. I would love to talk to you guys if you need. I want to help people by encouraging and assisting others in any way they need. If you see me on campus, totally come say hi! I love to hangout with friends and I’m always laughing. I want to meet new people so please come by. I’m always here if you need anything or if you just want to talk!
Lia Ruiz
Hi I'm Lia, I'm a senior here at RBV, I'm in field hockey, track, cross country, co-president of snack club and i’m a full b candidate (if I haven't quit…), I love tupac and chai tea lattes. I work at the city of vista, love to listen to music and go on car rides in my friends car cause I can’t drive(maybe at one point this year i will). I like to hang out with my friends but my social battery doesn’t last very long. I like to talk about anything anytime and anywhere. I’m a pretty blunt person and I'm down to talk whenever.
Efren Valdez
Hello to whoever is reading this, My name is Efren Valdez and I’m a peer counselor here at Rancho Buena Vista. I like to play the guitar and chances are you’ll hear me and my friends every lunch singing some corridos next to the lunch station that’s by the parking lot (Anyone is welcome fr it’s pretty fun). As a peer counselor, my strengths are one-on-one conversations because I focus on understanding the speaker and making the conversation as easy on them as possible. I’m always down to just chill and talk whenever y'all want so if anyone ever needs it, don’t hesitate to reach out.
George Von Borstel
Hello there, my name is George Von Borstel. I am a senior at RBV and I will be one of the many peer counselors for this year. I will admit that I am one of the quieter peer counselors out of the bunch, but that comes as a great strength because when my mouth is shut, I'm always listening, and so I can completely guarantee that I'll be listening to whatever you need to say during one on one sessions. In my free time I like to draw, play video games, and even animate. If you’re in a tough situation and need to talk to someone, go ahead and schedule a peer counseling session, I'll be happy to help!
Mia Wick
Hiii, my name is Mia, and I am a senior here at RBV! I’m a student athlete for field hockey and I coach Madison middle school field hockey as well. I love iced coffee, romance novels and driving around because it’s my outlet to feeling at peace. I’m a nature enthusiast and hikes and grounding are some of my favorite things. I love meeting new people and enjoy having a good mix between light and meaningful conversations. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm ready to listen!
Sophia Wicks
Hi, my name is Sophia, I am an involved senior here on campus. You may find me helping out at boys water polo games, playing in girls water polo, and throwing for our track team. Being someone with ADHD, I understand the struggles of keeping on top of a schedule especially with sports. Homework has never really been my friend, I have learned how to manage it though. I go with the tough love approach, meaning I will help you help yourself by telling you how I see it. Hope to help some of you with the high school experience.
