Grade Level: 11-12

RBV Graduation: Math

UC/CSU A-G: "C"

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Integrated Math 2 with Math Analysis, Integrated 2 or its equivalent

Integrated 3 with Math Analysis is a course designed to cover the Integrated 3 Common Core Standards in their entirety as well as cover some Math Analysis (PreCalculus) needed for Calculus. This is the third course in a three-year pathway preparing students to take BC Calculus or AB Calculus. Students will be challenged to grow in their mathematical language skills through class discussions, projects, activities, word problems and presentations.

Financial Algebra

Grade Level: 11-12
RBV Graduation: Math
UC/CSU A-G: "C"

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Integrated 1 and Integrated 2 or its equivalent

Financial Algebra with Applications is a mathematical modeling course that is algebra-based, applications-oriented, and technology-dependent. The course addresses college preparatory mathematics topics under seven financial umbrellas: Banking, Investing, Credit, Employment and Income Taxes, Automobile Ownership, Independent Living, and Retirement Planning and Household Budgeting. The course allows students to experience the interrelatedness of mathematical topics, find patterns, make conjectures, and extrapolate from known situations to unknown situations. Students are encouraged to use a variety of problem-solving skills and strategies in real-world contexts, and to question outcomes using mathematical analysis and data to support their findings.

IB Math A&I SL

Grade Level: 11-12

RBV Graduation: Math

UC/CSU A-G: "C"

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Integrated Math 3 or Integrated Math 3 with Math Analysis or its equivalent

Mathematics Applications and Interpretations IB SL recognizes the increasing role that mathematics and technology play in a diverse range of fields in a data rich world. As such, it emphasizes the meaning of mathematics in context by focusing on topics that are often used as applications or in mathematical modeling. To give this understanding a firm base, this course also includes topics that are traditionally part of a pre-university mathematics courses such as calculus and statistics. The course makes use of technology to allow students to explore and construct mathematical models. Mathematics: applications and interpretation will develop mathematical thinking, often in the context of a practical problem and using technology to justify conjectures.

Pre-Calculus
