Welcome Parents

The most important thing you can do to ensure your child's success in high school is to be aware of his or her social/emotional and academic "whereabouts." A student has to be socially and emotionally healthy in order to be able to perform academically. Make sure that you check in with your student on a regular basis to access his or her social/emotional health, and that you take appropriate steps to address any issues that arise. To make sure that your student is performing up to his or her academic potential, you should check the parent portal REGULARLY. If you wait until the progress report is posted, it may be too late to address a low grade. If you do find that your student is struggling academically when you review parent portal, speak with your student immediately, and contact the teacher directly.

  • Refer to the grade level pages for specific information for each grade level.
  • Use the links to access many important parent tools

Naviance is a program used for personality assessment, career exploration, 4-year planning, and college/technical school searches. Students can create their own accounts, and parents/guardians can create accounts to review their students' accounts. Naviance also provides detailed instructions for applying to colleges. To register click on "I need to register" link and enter your student's 9 digit ID code with a lower case "p" at the end and it will prompt you to set up an account.

Hello Seniors!

Each year we ask the senior class to complete a senior survey regarding post-secondary plans, college acceptance, scholarship awards, and much more.  All seniors at RBV must complete the senior survey on Naviance.

Please read the Naviance Login and Senior Survey instructions below and if you still cannot get logged in to Naviance see your counselor for assistance.  Students who do not have computer access at home may use one of the computers in the Career Center to take the survey.

The deadline to complete the senior survey is Wednesday May 31, 2017.
